your right, your not understanding my question.
when you lift, you use different motor units... the heavier you lift the more stress it places on the motor units, the heavier you lift also more motor units are engaged. there is a thresh hold where it becomes exhausted and it take time for it to recover.... how long does that take? thats my question.
i will give you an example.... when you first start benching... you might go from 95lbs to 155 in a matter of six weeks. this isnt from muscle gain. this is neurological adaptation, and the ability to fire more motor units simutaniously. ... this system get taxed over time, and eventually becomes exausted... how long does it take between each session to recover?
exercise does affect the nuerological system err nervous system, i dont know what a biomedical engineer does, but i know what a exercise physiologist does..i thought maybe some one in this forum was an exersice physiologist..
