so, do i have to compete in the novice division since i've never competed before. it says here that the novice division has only one class. i don't wanna be competing against guys that are way heavier than me.

can i still compete in the open division even though this is my first show?

the website is. Fultons Fitness - Contact Us Today!

also, should i send this application with a money order for the entry fee and the crossover? what's crossover? i'll pay for the polygraph on the day of the test.

how do i find out what day the test is?

i'm so confused.

help a fellow out.
thanks

Yes you can compete in the open division. it is called a crossover. you would pay a crossover fee(because you want to do the novice and open). Yes you would be competing against guys heavier than you if there is only one novice class which is wild. if they get alot of entrants they might make more classes, i would call or email the promoter.
they will call you about what day you will take your poly, it is usually that friday, day before contest. i did my first contest with inbf i like them.
if you know you want to to crossover send both payments when you mail your application

Thats a crazy event man.never heard of one class in novice,it also said that novice competitors can not crossover into open.
I am at work but I will reread evrything when I get a chance.
I have never had to do a polygraph they always say that as a deterent to users to enter but I have never done this event

You dont have to pay the fee if youre not crossing over. The open division will be full of experienced guys any way.I would just do novice.I didnt notice but did they have a juniors division.Thats just the next step up from Open

yeah
but i think if i can come in real tight, i can do real good in the open division. plus, i'll get better experience there.

i don't know, i still got time to think about it.

it didn't say anything about teen division in the application. but if novice has at least 4 classes, i might do that. as long as they're handing out trophies. but i'm not sure yet. i'd rather win 4th in the open than 2nd in the novice.

If youd been training for a boxing match for a couple of years would you want your first fight to be with roy jones junior?
Open is where all the experienced guys are not saying you cant do it that is totally up to what you feel you look like. But the more experienced guys usually dominate with muscle maturity.
On the other hand if you look damn good it could be a nice win for you in the novice
