I was just having a conversation with my buddy take a look at her

luke... says:

luke... says:
kinda
Dave says:
how
luke... says:
look at me im strong i can lift thiss much
luke... says:
ur using steriods
luke... says:
its cheating
Dave says:
its not about lifting
Dave says:
thats power lifting
Dave says:
BBing is the perporsin semitary and detail of the muscle so it looks like ur bench pressing 600lbs

Its not only this But everyone that doesn t lift think bodybuilding is just an excuse to show off your muscle and be cocky. Do I Live in the only place in the world like this?

Depends the type of people your around. It could be viewed if you think about it egotistical because your very into yourself and body. However, it could also be viewed as caring about your health and for the sport.

Not the only place, my mom thinks the same way lol.

hahaha....a few people i work with think that because i go to the gym so much means i am really self centered, egostistical, and think i am better than everyone.....

my argument for all these haters is...what is wrong with looking good and feeling good?.....just becaus i dont go out and get drunk 3 times a week doesnt mean i am better than anyone...just better priorities in life

I dont actually know anyother bodybuilders in my area, I dont talk to anybody in the gym. I just get in my zone, do what I came to do, and go home to grow.

You have to be somewhat selfish to bodybuild. That does not make us bad people, but it's the truth. Alot of times we have to put our selves first, we are striving to be the best we can be. Selfishness is needed to fulfill your potential. Cocky is another thing. For one I am not. I'm always looking to improve myself physically and mentally. But theres always a couple out of a bunch who thinks their shit doesnt smell.

It depends really. Bodybuilding as a sport and lifestyle is very introverted while society large is about the tribe, the community, the town, the bigger picture. Alot of the sport seems very selfish and self centered, and to an extent it is, your working to build the best body you can, but as an effect of that there is a trickling down to other people where you can act as an influence.

In many cases people start bodybuilding because they are put down by others, then when they get a nice physique, people want to be around them then the people that manage their way around them see that they are focused on the sport.

In other cases people bodybuild so that they can get a girl, get a guy. Its not so black and white.

I agree with u all and one Cocky Build gives a bad name for 10 Good Body Builders. It depends on how show off ur muscles if u go im better than u look at this look at that bla bla. Its different when someone asks u to make a muscle or something like so

Also, I've read that, not only bodybuilding but just simple exercise can relieve stress and give a happier outlook on life. Why not take some time and go to a gym? There must be an hour in everyone's day to pump iron
