this is not how much do you bench question but overhead press. this to me is something that ppl hardly ever talk about and i dont see too many doing. and i have 3 different gym memberships so i see a lot of different ppl. im in the rage of 6-11 reps with 175lbs seated. sometimes i do like a clean and jerke kinda thing then press it. but i think sitting is the best. so what do you do... and plz keep it as honest as you can... ppl on myspace (i think he was like 22 and looked like crap) said he could bench 225lbs like 52 times!!! i got off that shit forum and never returned.

how do you guys do them
if you do them the right way, you'll do a lot less weight. i've seen people lean way back and bring it down toward their neck, not go down far enough, and not extend. it's hard to explain but the seated barbell press pisses me off because the way people do it, of course they can lift that much.

i do 6 reps with 135lbs the right way.
not much but i think i'm pretty strong

bench press and military press are my weakest exersises.

honestly i've never seen anybody do it the right way. the only person i've honestly seen doing seated barbell presses the right way is ronnie believe it or not. but i extend all the way up just short of a lockdown.

eveyone says everyone's body is different but i still pay attention to the best delts so i follow either kevin levrone's routine or cutler's routine. Standing i can get 175 for a good 6 reps but i also do a little clean and jerk kinda movement to help my back.... but the levrone way which is seated smith machine behind the head, i've gotten 175 5 times on my best day

i dont make the bench immidiatly erect, its just got a slight tilt to it. i do it how ferrigno does in pumping iron but sitting, i extend a lil bit more but i dont lock out.
but i prefer dumbells
