Finally got myself a Gym =D!!!

Hey guys... well some of you must know.. I havent really started bodybuilding yet.. been confused thinking looking...

but lol finally found myself a gym!!!!

yh I know you lot are thinking... "ok.. is this guy a retard?"

well retard I am not.. my fellow dungeoniers, the thing is there is only two gyms near my area.. one that is cheap and not bad.. and one which is verrrrrry expensive.. way too expensive even though I've got a job...

the problem is.. well the gym I have chosen is just literally 5 minute walk away..

the thing is I gotta persuade my parents to let me go there.. all my mates go there and all the so called "big timers" go there lol..

anyways the problem is well... eh.... a guy got shot in that gym and there's always fights and so on...

but I know this area like the back of my Nokia phone... I was born and raised in this area... and I need to convince my parents to let me go to it.. otherwise good night bodybuilding..

need help guys any advice?

tell them you care about nutrition, and your using this to better yourself mentally and physically. say it will give you something to do to keep you out of trouble. you will go there always with your friends so it wont just be you...? and then pull the, "well it would mean alot to me if you support me on this, ill be safe mom and dad i promise, just trust me".

if your in Birmingham why the hell are you not going to Temple gym ? Dos sends all his lads here if they are coming down south if anyone asks he says there is only one gym in the south if you want to learn you go to the best which is Temple !

i say if u got a job, pay for the membership, then just go behind your parents back for a few months, then say hey mom and dad ive been going to that gym, look at the gains ive gotten, and say see nothing happened. well honeestly if sum1 got shot there and thers always fights i wouldnt really go there myself, otherwise make sure the only person u talk to is yourself and wear a bulletproof vest. haha good luck bro

if the gyms that bad its full of drug dealers and doormen and the owners got no control over it his lost the respect of the people that train there and he will never get it back the gym owner has to be capable of kicking anyones arse or it just all goes tits up

see the thing is BA, well I have college mate so.. I defo aint got time to be travelling to the Temple gym, since I start at 8:30am and finish college at 4:00pm and get home at around 5:30 pm and I have coursework and homework.. which sucks...

the thing is lol... everytime I ask my dad if I can go.. he is tired just comes back from work.. he bee's checking the news reading the papers checkin the markets shares etc. and just sais go ask ur mum..

and now my mum, dang.. whole different kettle of fish... she goes I aint lettin u go anywhere near a gym full of crackheads and violence and a place where a man was killed...,

I tell her it will improve me physically mentally etc. and she goes, look at that persons son etc. she sais you dont need the gym.... and that if my mates go there, that if they where to jump off a cliff would you too?

but today I think I may of got an edge on my mum... she seems to be nudging and hopefully she'll say yes...

Well let me ask you something. Doesnt your college have a gym. Here in the u.s. i havent found a single school that doesnt. I mean even middle, high schools have full gyms. I mean MIDDLE SCHOOLS!!!

It does but there's barely any heavy weights in there.. nor decent equipment, and it costs wayyyy too much for what it offers.. also it closes wayyy to early after college

trouble with going to most comercial gyms nowadays is it gets you off on the wrong path, too many tossy machines, carpeted floors , potted plants and fussy owners who just want to stick you on an exercise bike for as long as possible so your too worn out to make a mess doing anything else after , its a pity you cant just set up a power rack and a bench in a garage thats what i would do if i had to start all over again.

LOL the gym i go to had a couple of serious fights, but there memberships were cancelled and ts all goof now. another gym 2 minutes away also had someone stabbed

your parents will give in bro, the only concern with mine is that i get all my work finished lol

"Crimewatch appeals give new leads

Azmat Yaqub was shot in the Sparkhill area of Birmingham
Detectives in Birmingham trying to solve two separate murder cases are following up new leads after appeals on the BBC's Crimewatch programme.

Reconstructions of the fatal shooting of Azmat Yaqub, 35, from Yardley, and the disappearance of Michelle Gunshon, 38, from London, were featured.

Mr Yaqub was shot dead outside a gym in Birmingham in August last year.

Ms Gunshon was last seen in a pub in December after working as a security guard at the Clothes Show at the NEC.

Man bailed

Det Ch Insp Neil Beechey and Det Insp Ian Bamber appealed to viewers in an attempt to contact people who may have vital information about either case but have not yet come forward.

Mr Yaqub was pronounced dead at Chic Physique Health and Fitness Gymnasium on Forman's Road in the Sparkhill area of Birmingham.

Det Ch Insp Beechey said several calls could lead to the identification of the three occupants of a light-coloured BMW 5 series that was seen leaving the scene moments after the shooting.

Two of the men were believed to be black and the other white.

"We were particularly focusing last night (Wednesday) on the three men who had been to the gymnasium to carry out this killing, in particular the white man who had been onto the gym floor," Det Ch Insp Beechey said.

A man arrested in connection with the murder in March this year has been released by police on bail pending further inquiries.

'Matter of urgency'

Ms Gunshon was staying at the Dubliner pub in Digbeth, Birmingham, at the time of her disappearance.

Her blue five-door Ford Escort car was caught on two speed cameras in Birmingham the morning after her disappearance. It was later found in Rea Street, Digbeth.

Detectives have said that although Ms Gunshon was still missing they were treating her disappearance as a murder inquiry.

"We had 40 calls last night, many of them interested in the clothes worn by the driver of the vehicle which might point us in the right direction," Det Insp Bamber said.

He added: "We also had a suggestion a lady we see on CCTV footage walking along Mill Lane past Michelle's car before it was driven off could have been on her way to work and possibly working in the hospital or medical environment.

"So again, this is something we'll be looking to chase up as a matter of urgency."

Thats what happened at the gym around 2-3 years ago lol << well didnt mean the lol.. it was slack and I knew the guy who died.. as in through connections.. I still wanna go though...
