hey guys, just was hoping u guys cud clarify something for me. in pharmacology 2day at uni, we learnt that

Growth hormone is stimulated by eating protein
and inhibited by eating carbs.

im trying to gain weight, and i was told to go 1:1 carbs and proteins to pack on some size.

so isnt that a bit of a contradiction ?

thanks for the help, just wondering lol

Stimulators of GH secretion include:

* growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) from the arcuate nucleus
* ghrelin
* sleep
* exercise
* low levels of blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
* dietary protein
* estradiol
* arginine[2]

Inhibitors of GH secretion include:

* somatostatin from the periventricular nucleus inhibits it.
* circulating concentrations of GH and IGF-1 (negative feedback)
* dietary carbohydrate
* glucocorticoids

im vegetarian, so its hard for me 2 get all that much protein anyway, but i think ill stick 2 the carbs im geting in right now, coz it creates

a "protein sparing" environment right ?

and i think they also said GH effects are reduced after the age of 20.. so im almost there neway

growth hormone production is stimulated by lifting heavy weights...specially squats,dead lifts and pullups..when you lift heavy you get big muscles and you gotta eat your carbs or you want have the energy to lift..textbook not writen for bodybuilders, we are special people...lol

I have also heard of something similar to that a high insulin level can push th natural GH production down down, its pretty logical if you think of it but there is a reason why some people stak Insulin with GH or IGF-1.

All in all, carbs are just as important as Protein to put on size, it all starts to make sense when you realise that u either cant build much muscle or none at all in a diet and most people take a low Carb/High Protein Diet Right? So why is the GH not shooting us through the roof for muscle mass.

To be honest im gonna take Gh for 5 Months with other shit of course to see how good the stuff really is, but im sure its gonna kick my ass!

Peace
