Does this happen to you guys to,

Goin to the gym and training hard is the easy bit for me its the diet i have problems with. I will eat well for around about 10 weeks and really start to lower my bodyfat percentage ( 5 - 6 good meals a day, right amount of carbs with right amount of protein ). All seems to be goin well then my cravings just take the better of me and i dont have just one bad night i will wake up first thing in the mornin for weeks on end craving sweet and junk food. I feel its a waste of the past 10 weeks of hard dieting and training.

what do you guys do???

eat little bits of sweet food while dieting,
just generally have more will power,
have cheat meals now and again.

any advice would be appreciated

consider this: what do u want the most?
1. an average body and be able to eat sweets
2. the perfect body but sacrificing the sweets

if u not choose away number one, u will never get number 2...

I usually have fruit to carve my cravings for sugar. Or I dip my finger in honey and have a taste of it, which is probably a worst thing.

The thing you have to do is just put the food down. Don't think to yourself "I'll just have this and that will be all" because you'll want more. I do that sometimes, but then on the second bite I realise that i'm not gonna stop eating it then I spit it out, take out a gallon jug of water and chug it for all its worth.

your both true in what you are saying, but its certainly easier said than done. Does this annoy you to, my bro is the kinda of person that can eat junk nearly everyday but aslong as he is gettin his protein intake for the day he always looks shredded nd lean. But if i do it, water is the least of my worries, easily store bodyfat aswell as water. What fruit do u guys buy to stop the crave of sugar? or what fruit works best?

i dont have sugar cravings. i dont follow a diet either. my diet is out of my hands, i eat what i am given, but i do buy cooked snacks like baguettes and pasties etc im sure you can eat a chocolate bar here and there. i believe that the more you try to resist things, the more your brain will want them. how about trying this:
when you go to the gym, set a goal ie if it is biceps day, you would think to yourself 'if i get x amount of reps with x amount of weight, i can have a chocolate bar' that way you are setting goals for yourself and progressing. your goal must be a challenge but must be possible at the same time. and i wouldnt hadvise having 'candy' everytime you hit the gym lol maybe just once a week

bananas stop it for me.. well, i actually eat a lot of junk too cause i hardly add any bodyfat at all as long as ive trained hard the last days... so.. eeh, i might not be the perfect person to ask about this but kenney's idea sounded good...

set yourself a target such as a holiday when you want to look your best, Dieting for a purpose is much easier that just doing it without an end day and you can become stale and demotivated.
