At the risk of sounding like a salesman... have you seen this new supplement?

I'm about to order a bottle for myself as I've been having similar problems lately. My mind just won't seem to shut down at night. I find myself thinking about things only to find that 2-3 hours have passed by and it's the middle of the night and I'm still awake. Eventually I fall asleep but I wake up every morning by 7-7:30. I also wake up probably on average 2 times in the night while I'm sleeping, either to go to the bathroom or just from tossing and turning. There are some good logs of this product over at AnabolicMinds where people are saying it's doing exactly what I want... calming you down so your mind is at ease when it's time to go to sleep and your body can actually fall asleep..

I'd tend to agree with your doctor though with not working out if you're getting lightheaded from the Valium. That's some strong stuff and you don't want to pass out while you're working out. It could happen very easily. The sleep is an issue in your life right now... the weights will always be there. Take care of the insomnia first and the weights will be there for you when you get that taken care of.

That looks pretty interesting WM. Do you think it's as strong as Valium though? If it works I'll be happy to try some, but I'll have to consult my doctor in case it interferes with my other meds.

I'm pretty sure it's not as strong as the valium as that's a prescription.. but it's definitely a different class. According to the label it is:

Propietary blend:
3-OH-GABA, N-arachidonyl-dopamine HCL 240mg

The 3-OH-GABA binds to receptors in your brain that induce a sense of relaxation and the N-arachidonyl-dopamine HCL binds to the cannabinoid CB1 receptor which induces a sense of euphoria and relaxation. (Side note: the cannabinoid CB1 receptor is the same that marijuana binds to when you smoke it). There's also some research that shows the 3-OH-GABA increases growth hormome levels as well. Take this all at face value, I haven't tried it yet but I will be shortly.

went a couple weeks after my soccer season was done, getting into a diff schedule in my life, and that threw off my entire sleep cycle. i couldnt sleep each night, and if i did it was broken throughout the entire term. i got accupuncture and went back a month later for a second treatment and it put my mind at ease, my sleep cycles went well after that, just needed that relaxing period to clear my head and get a softer transition into a different schedule. wish u the best beefcake.

Let me know if you end up trying it and how it works out for you... If you tell your doctor about it I'd print out the info from the URL i posted to take with you. The doc will probably want to see the Supplement Facts box in particular.

take your doc info about it because he prolly wont know anything about it he isnt a supplement specialist but he can tell u by looking at what its made of
