ok, so, about 5 days ago, i worked a shift from 3-11. i was dehidrated as hell (i don't know why, something there that dehydrates you. im not the only one thirsty as hell). anyway, i come home at 11:30 at night, go to bed like around 12:30, i wake up at 7:00 the next morning.
I ate some oatmeal, had a vitamin B supplement and Iron (don't ask, just wanted some extra vitamins).
I go do some heavy ass squats and by the third set, i get this enormous migrane. one that i can barely handle and i'm yelling and wishing i were dead because the pain is so big. so i stop working out. i had a headache the whole day.
the next day, i try squating again, but couldn't get through the warmup sets without getting this same migrane.
i figured it was the creatine so i stopped taking it.

the next day after that, i tried to test my headache and see if i could lift. i did 10 push ups.....nothing.
i did 5 more and the migrane was starting to come back after that so i decided not to lift.

today, i had a minor headache all day but decided to give some light lifting a chance. i can lift light (about 10lbs less than i normally do) and the headache gets bad after the set for a minute and then it gets better. I did a quick light bicep workout just so i don't shrink from all this rest.

any of you go through the same problem? I was taking the recommended dosage of creatine.

when i started taking it 2 months ago, i weighed less than 120. i now weigh a little less than 140 (so it was working real good).
maybe i'm too small for 5grams a day.
any advise, staying away from the gym for this much time sucks balls. and this constant headache everytime i lift something heavy sucks even bigger balls.

I've been taking some asprin but it only works until i start to lift again and then the headache comes back.

i hope i didn't get kidney damage from the creatine. i stopped taking it. i hope this constant headache is not a sign that i might have kidney damage. i stopped taking asprin and tylenol just incase i do have kidney damage because i don't wanna have permanent kidney faliure.

maybe i was taking too many vitamins. i take weight gainers so those already have plenty of vitamins in them. i stopped the weight gainers too.

maybe the migrane was a result of the dehydration that other night because i'm sure i did not drink enough water.

anyway, sorry for the long post. and thank you. i'm a little worried.

because i can't list heavy. by cutting, i meant lifting lighter and doing 15-20 reps because it's all i can do without getting that migrane.
by the way, i'm pretty short so and i'm like 5% body fat or less (i think, could be more). i guess i'm pretty cut already.

bro you are not 5% bodyfat. you can only sustain a level like that for a extremely short period of time. normal healthy males should be above 7%-8% unless its getting time for a comp.

as for your migrane, dont want to scare you but go get that checked out by the doctor. your head and brain are something you don't want to mess with

How much water do you drink in a day up your water intake I could go through anywhere from 1 to 2 gallons of water in a day depending if I'm working out or not.

Drinking more water could be an easy solution. It may seem like alot but if you drink say 2 cups every hour it doesnt really seem like anything when your doing it.

I used to get the same headaches, they would get so bad it would feel like somebody was driving a spike in the back of my head and the front. I went to see a neurologist and he told me that they were exertion headaches because I was pushing myself too hard. I later found this to be bull**** and that they were diet related, I was taking in too much sugars and thats what was causing the headaches. I went 3 weeks straight with absoloutly no sugars that I could acount for and no headaches.

From what you described it sound like the same thing, I only got them when my heart rate got elevated. It didn't matter what I was doing, lifting weights or having sex, it hurt.

I tested it to make sure too, I completley binged on sugary foods for a weekend and got a brutal headache when I tried to workout the following week.

Really? My friend was at like 2.1% BF or less for almost the whole school year for our weight training class. He looked like he had absolutely no fat on him, veins everywhere, and very cut. He is one of the top track/cross-country runners here.

I found that natural sugars didn't affect me but processed sugars did so I just cut out all processed sugars as best I could. The ammount you take is totally up to your body, you can always try and binge yourself on sugar just to see how much you can handle or to see if it is the problem.
