The leg extension machine in my gym sucks it only goes up to 250 pounds. I don't understand why they don't have machines that go up to weights that are harder to get to. Now, if I could only do one rep at 250 I wouldn't be upset. But I can shoot out 10 on average and 11 or 12 on a good day. I think it would make sense to push up the standard weight on leg machines at least. Its a bitch to have to chose a weight and then do leg by leg, that doubles the time I have to be on that machine.
Same thing with the pull down machine. For tricep pull downs I can get 150 for 10 reps, and thats the max weight on the machine. So I have to drop the weight to 80 or 90 then do one arm at a time and it doubles the time I have to be on the machine.
I don't ask for much. But comon, comon.

For me, 90% of all gym machines/nautilus machines simply suck. All of the recent ones are designed using physics based computer software programs accompanied with engineers who put all the information together to form a functional unit/machine. I think the more technology they try to put into this equipment, the worse it will be. They've seemingly been ignoring the complex movements of our bodies, and pretty much turn us into robots when we do our sets with these machines...thats just my .02 tho... I use very few machines if any....free-weights are all i need, and a cable rack.

Most people don't do legs extensions right anyway.. most people swing the weight just to get it up instead of doing it slow holding it at the top and really isolating the muscle.

Yea if you find leg ext too easy hold it at the top of the rep for each one....I did that once and it felt like someone dropped hot charcoal down my pants lol.
Totally my leg extension goes to 220 i can get it out 10 -12 times but if I hold it at the top for 3 secs then as i bring it down make it last for like 4-5 secs I get the most ridiculous burn/pump ever.
But I try to avouid machines for my back chest and legs all together free weights for the bigger muscles is always my opinion.
ab machines! they are all crap and are all designed to do the movement with your bodyweight only
