thats way to much training, never mind the fact im sure your doing football sessions on top of it, where you getting the energy to do all this? i cant see how you could training that much with any sort of intensity & be able to get out of bed in the morning. i say cut back a bit & stick to basic movments.

I.e summit like this:

Day 1: bench press, military press, barbell curls, skull crushers

Day 2: squats, walking lunges, deadlifts(go light on these if you have to but i reckon don't rule them out) & bent over rows.

Day 3: cardio & abs

That should be plenty to supplement your football training. Spilt the days through out the week not one straight after the other.

Key lift for any lineman is the Close Grip Benchpress. You need to have that explosivness off the line w/ your arms as well as legs.

Right on the money. Also close grip incline is great exercise because the upward part of the movement is very similar to when you are engaging a d-lineman, linebacker, etc.

I would also throw in hang/power cleans. Obviously squats. Explosive lifting all the way ... stick to the core exercises.

I played gaurd in football and was first team all-state, all-metro and all district. So, hopefully my opinion merits a little more here...Number one-Football Training and bodybuilding DO NOT MIX...Stick with Powercleans and squats and Incline benches and focus on the ancillary muscles after the big stuff is outta the way. I trained so much while in football it was insane, and eating as much as you can is most important. Full-Body workouts are best for football, actually fullbody Circuit training is best. We did that, with all of our lifts being timed and it was Nuts! If you can still train extra after the full body stuff then do so...just make sure that it doesn't kill your main workout(Full-body). Since this is the time when football starts getting crazy again, make sure you're popping that sled...even without the pads, and make sure you're doing Intense Sprinting. And above all, Make sure you're the hardest working individual there is and your team will follow. I was the team captain..and I was a Gaurd...Hahaha...but everyone did what I did and we as a team killed everyone else. lead by example dude and Fuck shit up this year Bro! Get like 10 pancake blocks for me if you can, and get somebody to Youtube that shit! hahaha!!!

Not necassarily. Did you play football in college? I played division I-AA, was captain my senior year as a fullback in the wing-t offense, first team all league, offensive player of the year for the league and still hold my school's single season TD record at 22 and rushed for 1000+ yards that season.
