I just finished a rant, so to even out the cosmic karma worksheet, how's about some of the things you guys like/love about the gym - Preworkout, Postworkout or during.

Here's my short list:

1) Endorphins

2) Pushing past a plateau

3) The feeling after you're done with a workout that you didn't feel like doing to begin with.

4) Planning the attack! I got you muscles. You're goin down!

5) Realizing that the article you just read made 15 minutes of cardio vanish from your conciousness.

6) Food time!

Good list. Here's mine.

1) The adrenaline rush from lifting a heavier weight for that week.

2) Adding that one extra rep to your workout.

3) Going heavier the next workout session around because you added that extra rep.

4) The pump in your muscles afterwards that make you feel like the biggest dog in the pen.

5) The only place were screaming is acceptable and people don't think you have mental problems.

6) When your on your last set and you think you can only do five reps, then you hype yourself out and pump out eight.

I like me the most. lol.

besides that i just love the gym experience and pretty much everything mentioned above. i love knowing that what i do can only be done by a select few individuals that are very dedicated and special.

besides all of the fun and enjoyment i get from the gym, i think of it as an investment for future success, happiness, and all of the other benefits from huge muscles lol.

On my way to the gym I call my workout partner-he's on his way too..we get psyched..get to the gym change into gym attire..then head upstairs to the weight room.. LIGHTS CAMERAS ACTION now I'm me..nobody in that gym can lift heavier weights than me (except my workout partner with the 19" biceps and stretch marks)- seeing the look of horror in everyones face when I step up to thje squat rack with 405 lbs ready to go...or tossing a pair of 120 lb dumbells across the floor..doing 10 perfect wide grip pullups..or skull crusher with a 45 lb weight on each end of the bar..that's me..the real me.. xtra specially when I do bicep curls in the squat rack with a 45lb weight on each side..looool!

1) Getting a sweet pump in a muscle thats hard to get a good pump in. (like deltoids for me)

2) seeing the hotties checkin you out as you are all pumped up

3) for me the best thing is the way I can forget the world around me when I train. I dont think about Stress, Love, Family, Bills etc it's just me and the weights.

I'll try not to repeat any:

1. The last set, its 4th quarter time, you can't imagine pumpin out 10 reps, so you kick out 12 instead just to punish yourself

2. Kickin out a higher weight than last week with perfect form

3. The drive home, the only thing on your mind is that protein shake, followed by the steak/chicken/fish dinner

the only 2 things i like about my gym are:
1) it attracts a lot of very good looking girls
2) its in a convenient location

i hate it for everything else tho.
i dont get recognition.. there isent much socialising at where i lift. the only ppl that talk are the ppl that dont lift but go there anyway.

however it is still a place to train and i enjoy it as much as possible

great posts guys...here's mine

1. no matter what's going on in life, school, work, family, girlfriend, bills etc. it doesn't matter anymore when you walk into the gym, everything goes away its all about the weights. (i feel its the best form of therapy lol).
2. when people come up to you and ask "what are you on?" or "would you mind writing down your routine for me to use?"
3. ( the superficial reason) when your out at a party or something and you can hear the whispers when you walk by; "oh my God he's huge" or when people just come strait out (usually after they've had a couple in em) and say "holy **** your a monster"
