I heard about some stuff, not a supplement but something you take, that "lubes" up your joints and help put some traction back in your joints. It's something with glau or clu, i can't remember. any ideas?

I ask because my right knee hurts me when I do legs. Do you think it's because I go to low (about in the bucket), or could it just be the damage from football/wrestling. Is squats enough to hurt them that bad?

deep squats are actually better or your knees than shallow squats...assuming you're not using a smith machine or pushing your knees out over your toes. I've had 2 surgeries on my left knee so I know what you're going through. Deep squats with good form, glucosamine and cissus with some neoprene knee sleeves have kept them healthy and relatively pain free so far.

wrap your knees if they hurt while squatting. Make sure your knees don't go past your toes. Some of the supplements you can take are alfutop and adequan. Basically its polysulfated-glucosamine.

glucosamine does do something, I have taken plenty of it.

Glucosamine (C6H13NO5) is an amino sugar that is an important precursor in the biochemical synthesis of glycosylated proteins and lipids. Glucosamine is commonly used as a treatment for osteoarthritis, although its acceptance as a medical therapy varies. There have been multiple clinical trials of glucosamine as a medical therapy for osteoarthritis, but results have been conflicting. The evidence both for and against glucosamine's efficacy has led to debate among physicians about whether to recommend glucosamine treatment to their patients.

Multiple clinical trials in the 1980s and 1990s, all sponsored by the European patent-holder, Rottapharm, demonstrated a benefit for glucosamine.

Definately take it intramuscularly , oral is not gonna do much. Good luck,

Never had much result from glucosamine, but Cissus supplements have worked wonders for me!

as a bodybuilder u should rely on your muscles and rather than belts, straps, ect (except in the most dire circumstances such as heavy deadlifts).

however im unsure about what some of you have said about squatting.. the "knees shouldent travell past the toes" (i know he's a pro but he is still human like us, Tom Platz recomends otherwise). besdies how bad could it be?
