Hey guys just thought I would start this thread as I constantly hear stories about lifting and steroids and god knows what ever else in the gym. Some are funny and some are tragic, feel free to post your own as it should bring us all some light relief.

The one I heard today which made me smile was from a guy who talks the talk so to speak. It would kill him to actually work out instead of chat for a change.
Well the guy always talks about steroids and is always trying something he has brought from some guy and just takes it without chekcing what it is first. Well today he walks over looking all proud and starts telling me how he has bulked up to 168lbs, which is about 7lbs heavier than natural body weight and the guy is pumping enough stuff into his veins to kill a rhino this is also the same guy who claims the safest place to inject is in the gap on the outside of the arm between bicep and tricep! I really feel sorry because he could end up killing himself.

The second one I can remember is about a guy who was taking his first course of steroids. One day I asked him how it was all going and he informed me that he was finished and doing his post cycle therapy. He quickly reached for his pocket and pulled out a pack of dianabol tablets.

I guess I'm just shcoked that people make light and don't fully educate themsleves on potentailly dangerous things.

Anyway i'll add more if I can remember any.

Please add your horror stories.

P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum

LOL!!

A guy at my gym obviously using was always asked by newbies what he was on and he said liquid creatine and they believed him.

Also it is funny whenever people decide not to use clamps on the ends of the bar. One kid was warming up with 135 until one side, then the next went crashing down. Nobody was hurt but everyone was laughing.

Just thought of another one guys!

A guy walks in to the gym with his kid who was about 14 years old and weighed 140lbs max.

Everything was going ok for them until they decided to do some leg press. Now I was doing seated calves while my training partner was spotting me and the seated calf raise is no more than 6 feet from the leg press.
Anyway the leg press in our gym like most gyms can be loaded from the sides and the top. So with 8 45lb plates on top and two either side this guy encourages his kid to go for it.
This is a 140lb kid who has never trained before in his life pushing 540lbs!!!
I decide to take no notice and carry on but my training partner watches biting his lip. As the weight comes down for the first rep the kid gets stuck and screams in pain so my buddy runs over and he and this kids dad push the weight back up. My buddy then remarks that 540lbs is a fair amount of weight for him, to which the dad replies. Wait for it................................................ .....................................

I didn't think the plates on top counted!!!

Lmao.

One day I loaded 810 pounds onto the legpress and I got ready and in the zone. And I got one rep...one rep out of it. ThenI had to spendthe time puting the weights away. A real waste of time.

appart from the fight which happened at my gym a while ago, nothing much ever really happens tho i have a serious issue with people who dont put clamps on the end of the bars especially on bench presses.
the definition of tension is doing floor presses near these guys who dont put clamps on the bars.

Skinny kids rocking (yes rocking) 60lb bars on the bicep curl.

People missing the squating rack when sticking the barbell back on.

Theres a fairly large guy (fat imo) who chonders round the gym offering advice on diet/roids/exercise etc but i have never once seen him bech all the way to his chest and up.

When people are exercising their ego but dont notice it. Usually everyone else does.
