started doing these last week..using a 45lb on a belt for dips..wasnt so hard..then next day did 45lb on a belt underhand neutral grip pullups...now that was hard! ..maybe a way to get bigger arms

Hey no doubt about it......weighted pullups are one of the best way to build some bi's....certainly better than straight curls imo..

weighted dips are awesome i only get 3 at a time (my body weight plus 50lbs) however i rekon chins are ghey

how do you guys do chins...ie close grip or wide grip?

close grip. it's good for isolating your bi's and not use as much of your back or shoulders as with wide grip

its a confusion in terms, pull ups chin up and chins are often used interchangably. for me, a pull up it wide grip palms facing down helps develop lats, some call it a chin. a chin up is much easier closer hand spacing an palms facing up.

an alternative that i liked was using handle such that ur hands are v. close and in a palms facing each other position an u pull ur chin up to other side lower and then to the other side with 50 - 75lb added to waist in my case.

:pwned: and weighted pull ups are even harder...wide grip is harder to do than narrow or neutral grip over hand is harder than under hand...if you can do wide grip fine and dandy...if they too difficult do the neutral or narrow grip..the more you weigh the harder it is to do...anyway that works for you is good...I like doing 5 set of 6 or 6 sets of 5...I can do 3 sets of 10 but it is not easy...first time I tried to do pullups I couldnt do even do 1...lol

i can do narrow grip chins but im practising wide grip cuz i need to get more width on my lats

: Wide grip pullups will certainly widen your lats but it's hard to do a lot of them..so do narrow grip pullups then do wide grip pulldowns...as many as you can with a weight anout 2/3 your body weight..I dont have huge biceps or huge calfs but my lats are BIG...
