Ok I am haveing a problem here. I have been in the gym for a while now. I started last year in Feb. from Feb. to Oct. I put on a little over 20lbs I went from 192 to 218. I still keept my BF right around 10%. I had to take some time off because I had a knee injury not related to lifting. My question is this my body looks smooth and soft. I see a few guys in the gym and they look hard and dry. What can I do to get this dry hard look? Any advice. Right now I am sitting around 212 and mabey 12%BF.

Well not everyone's genes will allow them to get the same hardness as someone else. The hardness will come from diet really, and the dryness will come from getting water out of your body.

I would also suggest speeding up your workouts, if you aren't already. Meaning only take 30-45 second rest breaks between sets, this will also decrease the amount of cardio you'll need to do.

Well to be honest you may be looking "soft" because your either holding too much water or fat or both. The hard look comes from losing both. If you truly are around 10% then you should start by taking some salt out of your diet to cut some water and maybe sit in the sauna a few days a week. Also us some natural diuretics; coffee, cranberry juice... see what happens

you gotta drop some bf down to single digit then you gotta drop your water level....cut back on carbs,NO SALT! and drink caffinated coffee or tea..cranberry juice is good but you gotta get the SUGAR FREE or else you'll pee a lot and gain bf... SO cut the bf and drop ur water level and you'll get nice and hard :pwned: p.s. frequent orgasms bun off a lot of bf

As far as cuttingdown on the water. I am in the Marine Corps and I am doing some from of carido on top of what I do in the gym. If I were to cut back on my water intake I get really dehiderated. I normaly drink a gallon a day. As for the salt I do use a lot. Thanks.

Nobody has mentioned creatine mono - it stores water in the muscle cells and can make you look softer. Also being full of carbs can affect the amount of water in the body - 1lb of glycogen is stored in 2.5lbs of water. It's most likely from high sodium and creatine supplementation.
