Wondering if anyone is interested in starting an over 40 thread. I'm thinking any age welcome but hoping to keep topic to bodybuilding past age 40. Any level welcome. Competing or hobbyist. I've been training for about 20 years, made a lot of mistakes & figured a lot of stuff out. Ready to kick it up a notch and maybe finally enter my first contest. Any takers on this over 40 topic?

A lot of the boards that I have seen have an over 30 section. It will usually get a lot more traffic that way.

I posted the first note here kinda late today. Maybe the old men like me are getting their beauty rest already. I'll see what happens tomorrow.

Thanks for the over 30 suggestion. That may be the way to go. But thinking back on it, for me there was a big difference between 30 and 40 with regards to my personal dynamics with the sport, so I thought I'd try the over 40 route. I see you're 31. Enjoy growing older with the sport. It's awesome. Example: My squat is better today than it was when I was 35 and 10 years into it. Now with 20 yrs into it I'm hoping to hang on to my current poundages when I'm 55. We'll see. I feel better in the gym each year. Not intending to brag, just stating objective facts. Never geared up, mostly becasue I thought that might shorten my overall lifespan in the gym, and I want to do this as long as possible.

make a petition..if thier is a strong enough demand for it one of our Administrators (Bobo, Webmaster, Admin and now the new bloke Dungeon) will seriously consider it.
if you are over 40 years of age and would like a seperate division for bodybuilding, training, dieting, ect then please post in this thread the simple sentance "i am part of the said age group that is above 40 years of age that desires its own section"

That's good experience through the decades. I've never competed but have been strict on training consistency since I started around age 24. With your kind of competition experience I'm curious: Compared to when you were in your 20s & 30s, do you find it easier to drop bodyfat and prep for a contest at 41 because of your vetran experience, or is it harder to drop bodyfat at your age because of the natural change in metabolism and supposed drop in certain hormones?

I've never attempted to drop below 10% on the BF, and am thinking about doing a test run this spring to sub-5% area.
