Some people piss me off!

Ok so I am in my gym doing some wide chest presses. The machine goes only to 200 lb so, I add 70 more pounds with those 7 1/2 and 5 pound weights that you can place on the stack. These weights are scattered around the gym so, I go around and collect them to do the exercise.
Anyway, I am doing my four sets of 12 reps ; I finish and soon after this guy comes up to me with one ear phone hanging out of his ear , saying how rude it was of me to take all those weights when others want to use them. He does not say : May I please work in or could I use a couple ; He just walks up to me with an attitude.(nobody else asked for the weights)
I could not believe it! I have been at this gym for eight years and this is the first and only time someone has ever complained about me useing all the extra weights.

Am I over reacting or should I have bitch slaped this a-hole like I wanted to?

Meh, these things happen. No use getting angry really. Any place that open to general public, will have these kinds of situations.

Sucks that you take all the other extra weights ( i never use those anyways) but he could have gone about it totally different. I would have told him to piss off just because of his attitude.

It was rude of him to say that though., you had to go through the trouble of going around to get them, least he could do was ask or wait for them nicely.

If he was being a **** treat it accordingly but if not then just be like hey sorry about that man im done now or explain to him that those are the only weights that work on the machine and that you werent hogging them on purpose.

yes,there a few jerks in every gym..just feel sorry for them..don't let a jerk mess up tour workout..in my gym there is always some goy trying to hurry me out of the squat rack so he can do bicep curls..I just take my time doing squats and then I do dad lifts making him give up and do his biceps somewhere else..
