Ok, hello everyone ive got another story:

so i go into the gym and decide its shoulder day!
and i pull my shoulder backwards when doing heavy db's press, my stupidity says its ok and ill go and do another set and it will be ok, so i go a bit light and think to myself i can go heavier i go real heavy on smith shoulder press and its goes backwards again so basically i pulled the same muscle twice in the space of 25 mins. WHAT can i do will i ever be the same?

Pulling something and tearing something is totally different. And even if you tear something you are able to recover from it. I partial tore my pec twice and still going. Chest is slower to increase then the rest of my body but I'm fine now. I say just get some rest and take it easy. And research how to do shoulder press. You shouldn't be putting the bar behind your neck, keep it in front. Behind puts to much stress on joints.

Usually when ever you get an injury ice is always the best treatment, especially in bodybuilding. Here is a clip from web md...

Cold Therapy
Cold therapy with ice is the best immediate treatment for acute injuries because it can reduce swelling and pain. Ice is a vasoconstrictor (causes the blood vessels to narrow) and it limits bleeding at the injury site. Apply ice to the affected area for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. Allow the skin temperature to return to normal before icing a second or third time. You can ice an acute injury several times a day.

Cold therapy is also helpful in treating some overuse injuries or chronic pain in athletes. An athlete who has chronic knee pain that increases after running may want to ice the injured area after each run to reduce or prevent inflammation. Never ice a chronic injury before exercise.

+1 on ice. I hurt my shoulder doing dumbell presses as well. It takes a long time to heal. I took 6 weeks off, but still worked legs.
