As a child I was always the chubby kid, but five years ago I lost some weight and was 16 years old, 5'10" and 135lbs. I didn't have abs and I was very weak. People commented on how I was "too skinny".

After I got my driver's license I began working at a gym and lifting weights a couple days a week when I felt like it. My eating habits became terrible, I was eating fast food and garbage a lot because for the first time in my life I needed to "gain weight". At one point I was getting fast food after school every day, then going home and eating supper so my mother didn't know that I already ate. I also embraced the "turn fat into muscle" myth as an excuse to eat whatever I want. My gains in the gym were terrible due to how bad my diet was even though I had friends in high school who taught me fairly good lifting technique.

For years I never noticed how fat I was getting until I saw some pictures of myself in Novemeber 2004. after not lifting over the summer I had balooned up to a peak 245lbs (from 135lbs!!). I knew that I couldn't and woudln't live my life like this and looked into ways of losing weight fast. This obviously didn't work but I caught on quickly. I began trying to eat "lower calories" and doing cardio and never missing a lifting session to moderate results. I began reading all the e-books I could find on weight loss.

Around March 2005 I came across "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle" by Tom Venuto. I figured that was exactly how I wanted to look and decided I would never settle for less than a "perfect body". I purchased his e-book and lived by his word with amazing results. The best change was "clean eating" instead of getting my calories from unhealthy foods. As recommended by Venuto, I made a goal sheet which I read everyday and tried to achieve those goals. I set off to do it the right way and from then on it was just a matter of time.

I began posting a lot on internet forums and brushing up on my knowledge on bodybuilding, especially on fat loss. These forums were a great support and a great source of information. They helped me so much and in return I try to help anyone who needs it. My goal now is to help very overweight know that they don't have to settle, and that with enough work they can reach the physique of their dreams.

I still plan on gaining about 30lbs of solid muscle before I'm finished and getting leaner for competition while always maintaining single digit bodyfat. My plan includes continuing to use whey isolate and EXCELL from Anabolic Innovations. I plan on competing as soon as late 2007.
